Ha — you just THINK it’s idling. As Shelly implies, if I were you I wouldn’t turn my back on any of those characters if I were you.

Nights like this make popcorn, listen to music, take a bath, get some sleep … amazing what comes bubbling to the surface once you take your attention elsewhere … just keep your story loosely in the corner of your eye.

Yup. I know what you mean. But like the others are implying, there’s work going on behind the scenes.
We just have to keep showing up at the page until they are ready to show us what they have wrought.
